Introduction to The Dakmed
The Dakmed is a complete unit dose packaging system that allows hospital pharmacies to package, label and print their medication.

Unit Dose Drug Distribution (unit dose packaging) Systems for in-patient distribution of medication has been proven to reduce errors, thus increasing patient safety.

Widely used since the 1970s, it has become a standard practice in many advanced countries. Regulatory and industrial organisations such as the FIP, ASHP, CSHP and ISMP have taken a keen interest in it and have published many statements, notes and guidelines.

4 Primary Functions
The Dakmed Unit Dose Packaging System has 4 major functions:
